Darrell Williams, Manager-Business Development for The Empyrean Group, has been elected to the FOF Golf Association’s Board of Directors.

The FOF Golf Association has been working for over fifty years to provide social opportunities for the regional Power and Industrial Owners, Contractors, Engineers, Vendor and Suppliers.  The organization has made significant charitable contributions to many worthy groups as a result of promoting attendance to our annual Golf Outing, Sporting Clay Shoot, and Dinner Dance.

Williams will be formally inducted at the Annual FOF meeting on February 15th, 2020.

Darrell Williams, Manager, Business Development for The Empyrean Group attended the 41st Energy Generation Conference in Bismark, ND.  The Upper Midwest is home to abundant coal and natural gas resources that is fueling our nation, and the world.  The Empyrean Group specializes in supplying experienced and talented energy professionals in support of power generators, utilities, and oil and gas companies nationwide.

Mary Kubiak, The Empyrean Group’s Manager of Operations, attended  the 2019 Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC-East) in Donora, PA.  The event seeks to match local businesses with woman-owned small business in an effort to open opportunities between the two.

September 30, 2019-Charlotte, NC- Empyrean Services President and CEO, Sushil Jain presents “Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning-A Human Capital Perspective” at the 6th Annual Nuclear Decommissioning and Used Fuel Strategy Summit, at Charlotte’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel.  The presentation highlights challenges and approaches with attracting and maintaining adequate human capital during the various phases of decommissioning.

Empyrean Services CEO, Sushil Jain, has been appointed to become a member of the United States Nuclear Industrial Council’s Decontamination and Decommissioning Task Force.

The United States Nuclear Industry Council (USNIC)  D&D Task Force (DTF) obtains and provides information to NIC membership, and others as appropriate, through USNIC’s Back End Working Group (BEWG).  The purpose of this information is to:

1. Increase NIC membership awareness and understanding of current trends and decisions regarding D&D processes and activities in the United States;

2. Clarify NIC organizational positions to serve as a foundation for public D&D engagement and education;

3. Facilitate decision-making by the industry and by relevant stakeholders associated with D&D processes and activities;

4. Facilitate dialogue with legislative and regulatory representatives to support effective D&D rulemaking, e.g., for increased cost certainty, clear final site/survey release criteria, and long-term ISFSI monitoring strategies; and

5. Support activities and events that further USNIC’s educational mission on matters related to NPP decommissioning.

Valerie Reed, Manager-Client Services, for Empyrean Services attended the Savannah River Federal Business Opportunities Forum in Augusta, GA.

This 1-Day Federal Business Opportunities Forum held by ETEBA on June 12th provided current information to subcontractors and vendors on upcoming federal procurement opportunities (prime and subcontracts) in the region. Representatives from the Department of Energy, United States Army Corps of Engineers, presented during this year’s event.
